Karl Lagerfeld

Karl Lagerfeld - the man behind Chanel, Fendi, Chloe, and his own Lagerfeld Gallery line is famous like no other designer. Karl Lagerfeld, more than any other person in the history of fashion has single-handedly raised the profile and respect of what it means to fill a woman's wardrobe. His look is iconic, his designs constantly contemporary, his ideas always modern, and his intelligence beyond measure.

Karl moved to Paris in 1952 and quickly became a designer for a variety of fashion houses including the couture houses of Pierre Balmain and Patou, and later the labels Krizia and Chloe. He joined Chanel in 1983, and his image quickly became synonymous with high fashion.

He studied informally during his time in Paris. Karl was in school but not fashion school, he was never in fashion school. He moved to Paris for school and was in school for one year. Then there was a huge culture affair, and a contest for the International Woll Secretariat, which asked for sketches of things like coats, dresses, and boots. There were 200,000 contestants and Karl won first prize for his coat sketch. It was pure accident.

Karl Lagerfeld who is most famous for his creative designs at the French fashion house Chanel is still on a roll today. Lagerfeld summed up the season's trends from beige, ivory, and black; rough textures; transparency and lace - all spun into one beautiful collection that beautifully masters classic and trendy. In a season when celebrities, ideas, and much forgettable mediocrity have got in the way of seeing why luxury fashion should merit the price, Chanel triumphs above all.

Karl Lagerfeld is the master of reinvention. From his snaked-hipped figure and his signature pale ponytail, he has set a new meaning to the word "designer" overtaking world domination in the world of fashion.

"There's no Chanel collection without black. (It) will never exist. Who can live without some black clothes?" -Karl Lagerfeld

Jackie & I

Girls in New York looks like giraffes
Long neck, long legs, tiny tits and ass

Just wanted to post a few pictures from when Jackie and I took a little trip to the city last week. We were in the heart of Little Italy and Chinatown. Sadly, we were only in the city for about 45 minutes.

I love the city. I need the city. I live for the city.
I can't wait for school, I never thought I'd ever hear those words come out of my mouth. I am so grateful I go to a school where I study something I love.

Skool Sucks

School essentials? I think so.
I am DYING for these clothes, I did a wish list for the website and there are 24 pieces of clothing that I NEED! Hi Mom, you probably read this blog so yeah, we will go over what I want for school a little later! :)

The shorts and the leggings are adorable and the Valley girl shirt? Uh hello, pure gold. And the shoes? To die for, literally.

Vuitton Overload

I think this Louis Vuitton obsession is a bit much don't ya think?
I mean I don't think the bongs are all that bad but who wants a house with the Vuitton logo all over it never mind a car? And the sicko with the tattoos, I just don't get what goes through the minds of some people. What do you think?

And I'm very, very, very sorry about not updating this lately! I've been very busy running errands, etc. Please forgive me<3

Christian Louboutin

Louboutins: these are no ordinary heels; Louboutins are pieces of art.

Christian Louboutin is a mastermind who can get away with making booties with spiked studs look just as chic on a young fashionista as well as an uptown exec. Louboutins are sex in a shoe, each charged with sexual energy. Louboutins are bold, complicated, and risque - something every woman wants to be.

OH and that beautiful red sole? Pure mistake.

At school, my friend Julia and I literally orgasm whenever we see a woman wearing Louboutins. So if you're in the Midtown area wearing Louboutins, we're probably drooling over your heels and talking about them for a at least a good 5 minutes.

Smoking is Glamorous

Smoking is very glamorous.
I'm not saying it's good for you or promoting that you should smoke. Just the whole idea of seeing a beautiful girl smoking is very sexy.

BUT this is coming from a girl who enjoys smoking her occasional Newport.

What do you think, glam or not?

"I'm not perfect, I do drink. I do smoke. Carson (Daly) can't go out and get messed up, he can't smoke in front of kids - he's the face of MTV, and he has to be good. But me? I can." -Tara Reid

Fall 2010 Trends

Sheer

Sweet and sexy in one trend, how delightful! With sweetheart tops and plunging necklines, this trend let's you be sexy without being skanky. This trend can collide with the cut-out look to make a sweet and sassy look, that's undeniably sexy. Go to www.store.americanapparel.net to achieve this look!

Velvet

Quality over quantity. Velvet will be disgustingly popular this upcoming season but don't go trend crazy and buy every velvet piece you lay your eyes on. The colors are rich (think deep greens and purples), and it can be used as any piece from dresses to hats to purses. Velvet will present itself with some great new opportunities in your closet.

Lingerie as Outerwear

Wearing lingerie as outerwear is a huge upcoming trend for Fall 2010. This look came about in the 1980's (think Madonna), but the lingerie as outerwear look returns with a hipster/street-wear look.

Avoid: Wearing stockings as outerwear.
If you remember Sienna Miller pulled it off at the New York City after-party of Factory Girl but remember: she is Sienna Miller, and you are not.

Cut-out

This trend is usually popular during Spring/Summer but it has made it's way to the runways for Fall. Designers have shown a vast variety of styles for both clothing and accessories. It can either be sweet or sexy with cut-out pieces directly baring the skin or "filled in" with sheer fabrics. You can score this look for a bargain @ www.store.americanapparel.net NOW!

Military

Military lives on and remains as a trend for Fall 2010 but with a twist. The trend for Fall now takes cues from the 20th Century military uniforms and turns away from the pomp and ceremony that all of us fashionistas have become accustomed to.

Brigitte Bardot

Brigitte Bardot

Brigitte Bardot epitomized a new kind of sex appeal. From her trademarked tousled blonde curls to her extreme eyeliner and glossy pink lips to popularizing the bikini swimwear, Bardot is a style icon.

Brigitte Bargot may not have invented the breathless blonde genre - Marilyn Monroe was the head of the pack - BUT she did trademark tousled blonde curls. If you remember the Spring 2010 runway shows, there was kittenish blondes abounded and va-va-voom sex appeal was to fore.

Winged eyeliner is one of the hottest beauty to-do in fashion that has been seen on so many beautiful women dating back to the 1950's and 60's, as well as Hollywood beauties today.

The French actress, model, singer and style icon's fashion choices and lack of for that matter, are still admired by many fashionistas today. From Bardot's classic bedroom tresses to her smokey eyes to universalizing the bikini, she is an undeniable influence on fashion.

Brigitte Bardot oozes sexuality and what girl doesn't want to be or feel sexy? Just don't forget the confidence.
